We would love for you to apply to join our counselor team at HFR if:
  • You LOVE JESUS & KIDS! (this is of supreme importance)
  • You possess excellent character, integrity and adaptability
  • You have enthusiasm, a sense of humor, patience and self-control
  • You are able to work outside with kids in summer heat for several hours at a time
  • You can relate to your peer group
  • You can accept supervision and guidance
  • You can assist in teaching an activity
  • You are at least 16 years of age
                                             What to Expect
Staff training begins June 16 and is MANDATORY!!!
We host 6 weeks of summer camp during the course of the summer (including Agape camp)
Campers arrive on Sundays and depart the following Friday
You will be in a cabin with 1 or 2 co-counselors and up to 7 campers
You will also assist in leading an activity
You will go with your campers half the day and then lead an activity the other half of the day
We have campfire every night where we present the Gospel over the course of the week
You will help lead discussions with campers during cabin time every night
The Program Director will have lots of activities and skits that will probably require your participation
