Stuff to pack
What NOT to Pack
In order for campers to have a great camp experience, cell phones, MP3 or other music players, video cameras, radios, laptops, video games, and other similar electronic items should not be brought to camp. If these items are brought to camp, they will be taken up and held in a secure location in the camp office until the end of the camp session.
Expensive cameras and watches should be left at home due to the risk of breakage or loss.
Fireworks, guns, ammunition, and knives are strictly prohibited.
When is registration?
Registration is on Sunday of camp 4:30-5:30 PM
What does it cost for my child to attend camp?
It costs $420 for one session of camp.
Do you offer any discounts?
We do offer a sibling discount. For the first child the cost is $420. Each child after that is $395.
Do you have a storm shelter?
Yes. In the event of severe weather we have a shelter below ground that can accomodate all of our staff and campers.
What about emergency services?
Byron and Jered are both Emergency Medical Technicians. Our staff are all First Aid & CPR certified as well.
Can my child call me?
We discourage phone calls as a means of reducing homesickness, and because camp is supposed to be a growing experience. Rest assured though, if your child is suffering with homesickness we will have them call. Absolutely no cell phones!! Camp is a time away from the noise of the modern world. We want the focus to be on Christ.
What if my child is a picky eater?
Our food service director has been feeding kids for over 5 years at camp and she knows what kids like. We encourage kids to try everything, but we will not let a child go hungry. She will also make allowances for food allergies and special diets...just let our Nurse know.
How does my child know when to be where?
One of your child's counselors will be with them 24/7 and will take them from place to place. Our counselor to kid ratio is 1 to 3 and sometimes even 1 to 2. Your kiddo will be well looked after!
Where do the counselors come from?
About half of our summer staff are from colleges around Texas, and the other half from high schools. All of the staff must meet a rigorous reference check and a Department of Public Safety background check. Their motto is: Love God, Love Kids, and Love each other.
What is Agape Week?
Agape Week is part of our outreach ministry that allows a particular demographic of children to attend camp free of charge.
